LGB EXHIBITS AT THE ZITF

The Lotteries and Gaming Board participated in the 65th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), held under the theme “Industrialization: Crafting an Integrated Economic Landscape”. The board used this platform to promote responsible gaming practices, emphasizing that gaming should be done for amusement purposes only and not as a means of financial escape. Dr. Misheck Chingozha, the board’s interim secretary, encouraged patrons to exercise restraint and not bet more than they can afford to lose. The exhibition also highlighted the board’s role in contributing to government revenues through license fees and regulated payments, as well as supporting social welfare, health, and education initiatives.

This international platform was also used to market the responsible gambling fraternity in Zimbabwe and as well open the country to economic investors. The exhibition offers the Board and  gambling industry several benefits to growing economies like ours, primarily through tax revenue, job creation, and boosting tourism. These impacts have assisted Us to turn around the economy and fund public services, reduce unemployment, and stimulate local businesses.
